Pretty entertaining book, I should say. Not sure when it was written, but it read pretty nice for the 21st century. While I was reading this book, I was in a hospital 24/7, and I should say it helped me a bit with my boredom.

There's one thing I don't like about this book, but I guess it's excusable, considering when it was written (maybe). It's just a tiny bit racist. I don't quite like how it potrays black people, Native Americans, and, for what it's worth, apes.

One thing I do like about it, however, is the ending. Or the last chapter, to be precise. It hit pretty hard.

The shit gets straight to the point, is available on its own website, and manages to interest me, who doesn't give much shit about typography. What else do you need?

I've read the book, but I'm still an idiot with no music theory knowledge. Smh.

It's pretty fun to read, especially considering it's technically a religious book.

My grandma forced me to read this because I was (and still am) a lazy ass. The story was pretty cool, but I'd rather watch a movie based on it in any case.

Weird book, but it managed to finally teach me, a stupid child, the basics of programming. Kudos to it for that.

I have to say, it was an actually genius decision to give me a bunch of encyclopedias and fuel my perpetual curiosity. Well done, my parents. I know you probably weren't intending that, but still, thank you so much.

Самоучитель Windows XP

Section titled 'Самоучитель Windows XP'

2006

Alright, first I need to explain which book this even is. The word "самоучитель" literally means "self-teacher" which is a fancy way of saying "tutorial book". Think of it as "X for dummies" except without the trademark violation. Since the name by itself is way too generic, I also have to mention that it was written by Valentin Kholmogorov and that it has a vibrant red cover depicting a guy holding a Windows flag, drawn in that cringy '90s comedy style.

The book itself needs no explanation because it was the first book I voluntarily read on my own after having it gifted to me. Or at least I don't remember any instances of that happening before. It doesn't matter that I didn't think much about what I was reading or that I didn't actually learn that much. This book took part in making me myself, and it deserves a credit for that alone.
